We are dedicated to benefiting all beings
through practice and action.

“As long as space endures,
As long as there are beings to be found,
May I continue likewise to remain
To drive away the sorrows of the world.”

Join us for Group Practice or Special Practice Days. We’d love to meet you!

We provide instruction in Buddhist meditation and philosophy in a way that is applicable to Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. The Center also serves as a focal point for forming a supportive spiritual community and a starting point for benefiting those around us.

Join us for Guided Group Meditation on the second through last Sundays of the month from 10:30am-12:00pm at our Center and on Zoom. These sessions, led by Ani Palmo, are a great opportunity for anyone wishing to learn the basics of Buddhism and meditation. All are welcome!

We also offer Family Meditation on the FIRST Sunday of the month, led by Ms. Sheila. Each session is based on a particular theme, such as Cultivating Joy, and includes a short meditation session and a family-friendly practice to continue at home. Children of all ages welcome!

We offer classes and seminars on a regular basis. Check out this page to see what we’ve offered in the past.

We practice the Buddha Sadhana on certain days of the lunar calendar, on Zoom as well as in person when possible. Join us every Sunday for meditation and throughout the year for retreats!

I discovered Songtsen Gampo Buddhist Center of Cleveland in January 2016 when I took a class with my grandmother. We truly enjoyed the book study of The Good Heart: A Buddhist Perspective on the Teachings of Jesus. I have been a practicing Buddhist for the past 13 years and my grandmother is a Christian. It was a wonderful experience and I have continued to participate in activities such as meditation at SGBC. I am thrilled the center is in Lakewood and I look forward to future programming.

A beautiful place full of beautiful people. Ani Palmo is truly an inspiring teacher and someone who has opened my eyes to the reality of Buddhism in a modern world. The center is welcoming and very comforting to be in. Highly recommend to anyone interested to any degree.

This place is amazing! Welcoming, open to all, beautiful, and very relaxed. Ani Palmo is a kind and thorough teacher, with a wicked sense of humor! The group is really nice and there are always options for those in financial straits. You should definitely check them out!
